P0446 Evaporative emission control system vent control circuit malfunction

Reason for DTC: Fuel tank pressure is less than -10 inches H20

Related causes : malfunction of evap vent control.Fuel tank pressure reporting wrong,emission hose rupture or disconnected

If this is truly a evap vent control code you would have a hard time filling the fuel tank.What needs to be measure is the fuel tank pressure when the evap is commanded to purge gas fume from the canister, What causes this code is the fuel tank pressure sensor not reporting properly, this is a common Chevy issue, and yet, it still can be a failed evap vent solenoid.
