my check engine light came on wanted to know what the code P 2098 means ?

P2098 Downstream fuel trim lean bank 2

Reason for DTC: Engine mechanical problem,02 sensor ,exhaust leak,

Item description : Catalytic has a lean condition (bank 2)

Diagnosis Area ; Engine vacuum, causing false air, MAF (mass airflow duct), fuel injector restriction this includes fuel pressure.

In order for the catalytic to function properly it needs to go rich and lean , Rich control NOx, lean control HC and CO, What can affect this will be sparkplug, proper sparkplug application to the vehicle is required, A failing or degrading 02 sensor can also cause this to code up.
