I have an OBDII code P2098 on my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500, and would like to know what it really means?

The code means that the Engine Control Module (ECM) has detected a bad signal from the downstream (rear) O2 sensor. Could be that the O2 sensor is bad or that there is an exhaust leak.
