I have a 2005 Nissan Xtrail & just recently I overheat. Check engine icon showed up so I went to Nissan & had it scanned. P1217 ( engine overtemp ) was the result. Had my radiator fixed, oil changed, battery & fuel filter changed. However, I am experiencing hard starting specially if I start my vehicle in the morning or when it rested for at least half hour. Im kinda confused, pls help. tnx!

You can try to clean the mass air flow sensor with mass air flow sensor and the throttle body with throttle body cleaner. Disconnect the battery below you are cleaning the throttle body so the ecu will reset it self.

you will have to do an idle air relearn after you are done cleaning it.

if those don't help

You should checked fuel pressure, it should be 51psi at idle

also the resistance for coolant temperature sensor should be checked
