P1259 Honda -

Question

i got 2 codes p0420 & p1259

the car is a 2002 Honda crv 5 speed

the problem occurs during a cold start or first start of the day . the rpm's will only go to about 3200 then fall to a idle after a sec i'll be able to proceed timing my shifts before i hit 3200 and maxing out @ about 90 kml not if I shut it off and restart the problem goes away all day .

i've changed the spark plugs changed and flushed the oil new compressor and belt air filter

P1259 VTEC system malfunction

This is for the VTEC solenoid , the VTEC oil pressure switch also has to be in working order.If the problem is persistant the VTEC is replaced as a assembly
