Do I have to reset code P0156 or will it reset itself?

Question

Once the O2 sensor is replaced will the check engine light go off by itself after a certain amount of time or miles or does the code have to be cleared manually?

If the cause is corrected then yes the check engine light will go out, once the ECM see a correction for at least 3 ignition cycles.
