anyone have a diagnostic flow chart to determine the cause of code p 1692 and noise that results

P1692 Is the result that the engine speed is ,6000 RPM or less and the oil pressure switch on for 5 seconds or more.

The trouble area: Open or short in the oil control valve circuit. Oil control valve for VVTL, ECM

1. Check oil pressure switch for VVTL. If no good replace oil pressure switch, If okay step 2.

2.Check for open and short in harness and connector between oil pressure switch for VVTL and ECM. If no good repair or replace, if okay step 3.

3. Check oil pressure for VVTL if okay replace ECM . if okay step 4

4.Check OCV for VVTL and oil filter if no good replace OCV or oil filter,if okay step 5.

5.Check for open and short in harness and connector between OCV and VVTL and ECM , if no good repair or replace.If okay replace ECM.
