tps is all over the place ...at times shows 100% at idle ....hits rev. limiter at 3500rpm

Anything that affects the speed of the crankshaft can cause a misfire.And yes the TPs can cause this.The voltage of the TPS with a closed throttle should be about  0.26 volts.to 4.49 at WOT (wide open throttle).
