P1229- Intercooler Pump Driver Fault

Possible causes

Harness or connectors (The TP sensor 1 and 2 circuit is shorted.) (APP sensor 1 circuit is shorted.)

Electric throttle control actuator (TP sensor 1 and 2)

Accelerator pedal position sensor (APP sensor 1)

MAF sensor

EVAP control system pressure sensor

Power steering pressures sensor

Refrigerant pressures sensor

ECM pin terminal

Possible solution

Check for voltage at the relay. Check the fuse in the power feed. Check the ground connection of the pump motor. The PID reading is on/off.

When is the code detected?

ECM detects a voltage of power source for sensor is excessively low or high.
