P0444 code what is the fix?

Question

code says the evaportative emission system purge control valve open.

Can this be closed or do i need a new purge control valve for my 2001 VW Bora.?

You would need to check and see if there is a damaged harness or connector to the Purge Control Valve or if there is a circuit that is open or shorted, before you replace it.
