I have an engine code of PO300. What can I look at myself to try and fix?

My1998 GMC Sierra 1500------1/2 ton pickup developed a noise that sounded like the fan was getting into the shroud at take off. The engine code is a P0300. Any sufggestions as to where I might look?

Hi there,

The multiple misfire code can sometimes be difficult to diagnose. Basically because the misfire is happening on more then one cylinder. What I would do is start with a tune up. Cap, rotor, plugs and wires. Also check for any intake manifold leaks as well.
