I got a p0021 code suddenly earlier this year, after that several other codes shot up on the computer, i replaced them, main its always sensor codes like maf or 02 sensor codes, i fgured this p0021 must have been confusin other parts so i decided to tackle it, after changing all parts i cleared codes and oil changed and cam changed solenoid valve behind engine changed, p0021 wont leave it still there, so i realized it was the one in the front? bank2 next to the oil cover, when i took it out it was so oily and hot, i sprayed clean it and put it back but it had no effect, i knew it was the problem because i disconnected the harness/wire and car still drove the same (same behaviour) so i figured selonoid must be gone bye bye. Any input? i

its most likly the intake valve timing control solenoid valve. You can also check the fuses to see if one of them is blown. It should be a 10A fuse.

you can check it by check the resistance also see (picture below)

Possible causes:
-Harness or connectors (Intake valve timing control solenoid valve circuit is open or shorted.)
- Intake valve timing control solenoid valve
- Crankshaft position sensor (POS)
- Camshaft position sensor (PHASE)
-Accumulation of debris to the signal pick-up portion of the camshaft
