Replace the thermostat first and if the problem is still there. Replace the coolant temp sensor. 

For the P0300 you can start by checking spark plugs and replace them if you have not before.

P0118 Possible causes:
- Low engine coolant level
- Faulty Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor
- Faulty engine coolant thermostat
- Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor harness is open or shorted
- Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor electrical circuit poor connection
