P0505 Toyota - yaris 2007 model

Hi,

Model :- toyota yaris.
Year of make :- 2007.

Day before yesterday, when I was driving my toyota yaris, i saw the check engine light on. I took the car to auto zone for verifying the code. The code came as P0505 that is Idle air control valve control circuit.

When i started back from auto zone to home, I saw that the check engine light is gone by itself. Till now no check engine light has come again.

My question is what should i do now ? Should I go to the Toyota showroom and get it fixed or wait for check engine light coming again ?
Is it safe to drive the car ?

HI there,

It is safe to drive the car. Since the light went off on it's own it means the condition has returned to normal. Even if you took it in, they won't find a problem with it. So, it is safe to drive and if the light comes back on, then take it in.
