we have disconnected the battery as this is not the first time this has happened with our 2003 Mazda 3. we waited 5 minutes and then reconnected the battery which has caused the computer to reset itself and the car started.

This time we have done this but the car still wont' start. what needs to be done? Can this 'feature' be disabled' permanently as it is a pain to have to keep doing this.

the engine wont' turn over. the symbol on the dashboard is a red car symbol wi the key in the middle....we beleive it's the chip anti-theft warning.

anti-theft system is hard to bypass, you may just need a new reprogammed key
