P0342 Volkswagen and P0606

After performing a diagnostic check on a 2009 vw polo, 27000 miles on clock, it has found 2 faults these are P0342 camshaft position sensor and P0606 Processor fault. just want to know if these could be caused by each other or if they are unrelated, and a solution to fix each one as i have read that their could be multiple causes for each code. Just don't want to be replacing parts that dont need replacing
