I got a 2005 Pontiac Pursuit Automatic with code P0713

Question

I took my 2005 Pontiac Pursuit Automatic into Aamco shop today and although the check engine light was not on, they told me it was an internal code P0713. They said that I needed a new transmission, but could I not just change out the Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Circuit High Input?

P0713 Transmission fluid temperature circuit high

The transmission fluid temperature sensor is part of the fluid pressure sensor, Yes you can just replace the sensor, When you get this code the conditions for setting is a open or short in the TFT (transmission fluid temperature ) sensor.,the transmission uses a adaptive strategy, it may shift different but it does not mean replace the transmission.
