Air idle control code still comes up even after I changed the control valve and the idle is fine, is there any other cause that could cause this code p0505 to come up still

Hi there,

Sometimes you can get this code even if the idle is slightly high, there is a wiring issue to the IAC valve or the computer. If there is a vacuum leak or a problem with the transmission range sensor it can cause it. Even though the idle seems fine, the computer isn't happy with it. This code rarely is actually a problem with the IAC and more often an issue causing a high idle.
