2002 Chrysler Town and Country 3.8L throwing codes P0700, P0720, P0731, P0732, P0736, P0841, and P0846 are all these caused by the same problem? If so, what is it? the vehicle does fine periodically then the speedometer goes crazy car starts jerking when stopped and starts out in the wrong gear and sometimes goes into limp mode. What do you think? bad connection? bad TCM? Any ideas would be great.

Best answer
P0700 Transmission control system malfunction

P0720 Output speed sensor error

P0731 gear ratio error in 1st

P0732 gear ratio error in 2nd

P0736 gear ration error in reverse

P0841 LR-pressure switch sense circuit

P0846 2/4 pressure switch sense circuit

The best thing to do is to monitor the transmission control relay first, Switch out the transmission relay, and go with a test from there, What makes the transmission control relay suspect is the pressure sense circuits, This usually comes up due to the transmission control relay either from a failing TCM or the relay itself, As for the gear ratio code just replace the output speed sensor it is responsible for gear ratio.
