I put a air intake on my Honda accord 2000 and the check engine turns on does it affect my mc or what you call it

P1259 Problem in the Vtec oil pressure switch or Vtec solenoid valve circuit

What you have is a MAP problem this is mainly a disconnection on the MAP sensor , this sensor measure the engine airflow rate which in turn determines the required fuel,which does affect the acceleration of your vehicle, As for the VTEC this was designed for power output,which affect highway speed,
