2005 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid with engine code P2797

Question

Received this code while on a road trip and nowhere near a dealer. The mechanic that did the scan said his machine gave no more info than what I have given above and thinks it may be a secondary pump the sends the fluid through a cooler.
