1996 Honda Civic HX 1.6L, Check Engine idiot light just came on, OBD-II code reader gives P1169, but no specifics (so exact error is uncertain). Changed oil 1 week ago, and had it overfilled about 12 ounces for the week (now corrected). Also, just fueled-up and my gas cap came apart. The two pieces went back together, but don't spin or ratchet like they used-to. I'm wondering if the P1169 code could be related to one of those circumstances? Or, exactly what is the error and what direction should I go in?
Thanks,
-Ed

HI there,

This code is actually for the front O2 sensor. It's not a huge problem if you don't get it repaired right away, you may notice some hesitation as well as lower fuel economy, but it's not going to damage the engine or leave you stranded.
