The car hit a pot hole, the engine light came on and could not go any faster than 10 mph. When I checked it out the next day, the car was running fine and the code cleared. Any ideas?

P1516 Throttle actuator (TAC) module throttle actuator position

When this codes appear you go into reduce power mode, this is why you only went 10 MPH. High resistance at the TPS (throttle position sensor),can cause this and this ,could of been cause by hitting the pole,It can be a intermittent problem,Drive it around and if you dont hit any poles or trees, and it goes into reduce power mode, you will need to replace the throttle body,
