P0040 FORD - will this code possibly make the truck sputter and excelerating

Well my 2001 xlt expedition was running fine then when input gas in it, it started to sputter when starting to go, and at that point the engine light would go on and blink 40 times.. I would like to if I'm on the right track in checking the 02 sensors and maybe the fuel lines.

P0040   02 sensor swapped bank 1 sensor 2, bank2 sensor 2

P0041  02 sensor swapped bank 2 sensor 2,, bank 2 sensor 2

First take care of the 02 connection being swapped,then retest,

also may be that car has gotten bad gas if light isn't clear after u replace the sensor check for water contamination. .just a thought ..o 2 code always become frist light to come up ..

Anytime the CK engine light flash you have a misfire ,Misfire  are type "A" codes. Swapped 02 do not cause misfire, but they do cause rough idles.
