P0603 NISSAN -

2007 frontier mt 4.0 SE, p0603 present. srt not setting code, ca required to pass smog, vehicle has 34.000, new battery and cables a year ago no problems till now. i have started a key with nissan, dealer states nothing wrong!!...really pissed here!!!!!

Looks like the Engine Control Module (ECM) failed. The SRT are not setting because the battery inside the ECM is probably dead, so every time you turn off the engine the SRT's will reset. Either you drive you car until all the SRT are set and drive it to the smog station without turning off the engine, or you have to replaced the ECM.

Also, you should check with your Nissan dealer if the ECM is still under warranty. The warranty of the ECM is 7 years or 80K miles,
