P1652 - IAC Monitor Disabled by PSP Switch Failed On 1998 Chevy Venture Van 3.2 FWD

P1652 on 98 venture

Dash lights flickered off and on and then car died. Battery seems fine (only 1 yr old.)

Probable cause: I have a bad wire to IAC which caused the van to idle at about 2000 rpms so until I can get it fixed I disconnected the IAC, detached elec. connector, pushed idle pindle all the way in, (assuming no idle was better than a super screaming idle until I have repaired) Especially since I live in so. Cal and it is 80 and above right now. And I did not re connect the elec connector. Showing a P1652 after dyeing and a IAC code of course.

Chevy dealer repaired 1 wire to IAC 1 yr ago for about $250. Hard to imagine wire went bad again unless it is a different wire this time, but I bought another new IAC and that did not cure the problem. Been driving around a couple weeks just fine until today, 85 deg in southern Cal and a/c on.

What is the true meaning of a P1652 on a 98 Venture Van? Thanks

P1652 Fan 2 relay control circuit

P1652 is for the cooling fan relay number 2.
