How can I resolve the problem with doing it myself ?

The C1163 code is usually triggered when the vehicle is out of alignment or after performing a wheel alignment. After performing a wheel alignment the "Steering Angle Sensor" needs to be reset. Unfortunately only the dealer and some alignment shop have the special scanner to reset the sensor.
