A common way to check for an intake vacuum leak is with throttle body cleaner (or carburetor cleaner). Start the engine and spray all along the intake area, cylinder head, then around the fuel injectors, vacuum lines, throttle body, and other areas. If you find a leak the engine idle will change, usually the idle will increase.

ma,ke sure if you spray to check for leaks that the motor is cool like in the morning start and spray.if it starts getting hot shut off till it cools again.so you can spray to check for leaks!if theres a leak idle will change in the area youve sprayed and thats where the leak will be.be carefull!
