2003 Nissan Altima starting running hard, AutoZone pulled code p0300. I pulled the plugs and found oil in cylinders 1 & 3. There was no smoke, no loss of coolant, but the oil does get low about every month. What could be the cause and the fix? Thanks for any response.

Oil fouling in the cylinders are caused by several things, bad valve guides and seals, worn or broken rings, a bad head gasket or a crack in the block or head. You must do a dry/wet compression test and leak down test in each cylinder and a coolant system pressure test to determine the source of the leak.

I left out checking the crankcase vent system.
