P1406 SATURN -

Question

I have a 96 Saturn that won't start. No spark. I have replaced the crank sensor and the coil pack. I am getting a P1406 code what can it be?

P1406 EGR pintle position error

This code will not cause a no start condition it will cause a rough idle due to the EGR if it stays open,If you are not getting spark a failed ignition control module can be the cause (this is where the coil pack sits on) The ignition control module if it fails does not set off a engine code.
