P0001 is not valid for your year make and model, With P0420 you do have a code that may be causing the catalytic to be insufficient. But the scan tool did not interpret the code properly,P0420 can be caused by, vacuum leaks causing lean running conditions, low fuel pressure can cause lean condition,How the idle quality? Worn sparkplug that become over gap can and do cause lean conditions.
