Why does my car continue revving when I let off the gas

My car won't start in less i hold down the gas when it's warm

P0118 Engine coolant temperature sensor voltage too high

P0125 Closed loop temperature not reached

The engine coolant temperature sensor is a major input for fuel control,idle speed,and ignition timing, A failed temperature sensor will do exactly what you describe, But you still have to inspect the cooling system such as the radiator,waterpump,cooling system hoses  for leaks and ,coolant has to be  at its proper level, Because you have P0125 a thermostat wil be required,
