Had an auto shop look at my 2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8L. They replaced the vehicle speed sensor and cleared the service engine light. Drove home no problems only a little lag when the car shifted from 2nd to 3rd. Later on that day I tried the cruise control and it didn't work, and after that the light came on again.PO720 code again. I didn't have any problems shifting til the light came on and intermittently the trans would be stuck in 1st gear.I went back to the same auto shop since they were the last to mess with my car.Anyway, they looked at my car again last Sat. and cleared the code and said not to use the cruise control apparently its not a big deal, the cruise control causes the code to reappear. So I was didn't think much of it at the time, I wasn't charged anything that visit. But I want everything to work like its supposed to. Im very seriously going to a Nissan dealership shop the next time to fix my problem felt I got the run-around trying to get my car fixed. Im just getting a little worried my car has worse problems going on. Cruise control won't set, it blinks when on. 78,000 miles on it bought the car with 51,000 miles in 2007 never had any service lights come on before. Transmission flush done about a month ago. Any advice?

Had the same problems- trammision not shifting properly ,cruise control light blinking, check engine light on and a P0720 Code . Changed out speed sensor but was still having the same problems . Was about to replace the Tranmission Control module when fate took over and the negative terminal on my battery came loose. I had my battery replaced the week before . I replaced the terminal and the check engine light had cleared and transmission and cruise control were working properly. I guess the loss of power to the Transmission Control Module had cleared its memory and reset it to its default values. I Have a 2005 Nissan Sentra S.
