P0430 - I have the OBD II code P0430 coming up now and then. Mostly when I drive in heavy rain.

Question

The car is a Chevy Suburban 1500 with 5.3L engine, year 2000.

I have been changing both upstream oxygen sensors, new fuel pump, new throttle position sensor, new fuel pressure valve, new MAP sensor, new idle control valve, new sparkplugs, new sparkplug wires, new battery, and I have been cleaning al ground spots that I could find.. When I asked a work shop manager he said that I probably have to accept this code and live with it. Well I don´t like to live with it.

This code is for the bank #2 catalytic converter. To repair this you will likely have to replace the converter on bank #2. It is possible it's an O2 sensor issue,but it would be the O2 sesnor on bank 2 after the converter, not before.
