my van is idling down and I took in to have the oil changed and had them run diagnostics and it is throwing the following code p1260 theft detected disable engine.
is this something I can fix or does it need to go through the dealership?
if so what do I need to do to get this code cleared.

P1260 Anti-theft code

P1260 can be set off by  a no start from excessive cranking, or a hard to start, P1260 means to check for DTC other than anti theft, Once the vehicle is running the (PATS) passive anti theft, cannot stall the engine after 1 second of operation. You state that the vehicle is idling down? Do a throttle body cleaning, if that doesnt bring the idle correct a idle air control valve may be necessary to do.
