I just replaced the upstream sensor 2004 dodge 1500. I this saying I need the downstream as well or is it indicating I have a problem with the sensor I just installed?

P2096 Down stream fuel trim lean bank 1,

This is the sensor that monitor the catalytic, Think of this as a river ,upstream is before the catalytic and downstream is at the catalytic, Also P0296 can code up when the 02 sensor does not meet OEM specification, you still have to check for vaucuum leaks that will cause lean running conditions,
