P0106 MAZDA -

Question

Hi,
Does this code (P0106) influence the automatic transaxle?
I have an 1999 Mazda Protege and the engine (1,6 l) is running apparently well, including the idle. I have this DTC and the symptoms are linked to the automatic transaxle which has only the first 2 speeds. The O/D light is also flashing a few minutes afterrunning the car.

P0106 Baro circuit performance problem,

This can be the vacuum hose that goes to the EGR boost sensor,Also the boost sensor may be stuck open or closed,This only affects the emission. The O/D flashing that telling you can a failed shift solenoid.
