seems to be a open circuit

i got a po758 code on scanner I dropped the pan replaced both solenoids put it back together and the same result happened I dropped the pan yet again and I went to the test light sol a seems to be working properly when I ground it out I hear the click but solB on the other hand is stuck in what I presume is open (constantly grounded) If I unplug it and plug it in I hear the click. there is constant power to both A&B this is with key on engine off. also after doing this the gear indicator is no longer highlited on the dash i can see PRND321 but the box around them showing the gear its in has gone away. if anyone can help me on where to start next is there a relay is my ecm gone are there smaller cheaper routes to try b4 I got the ecm route? pls help this is my only vehicle to get the kid to school and my self to work tyvm in advance

You found the problem with the key on engine off there is constant power to the shift solenoid, The ECM when it commands this shift solenoid on it sends a ground, Any solenoid that is not repaired in a matter of time can take out a ECM driver apparently this has already happened.
