Hello, I have a question about my camry 1999. Yesterday, I changed the transmission fluid, and could not adjust the level because it was difficult to see the level. So I refilled 3 quarts although I know that camry 4 cylinder needs 2.6. So is that ok, 3 quarts?

Vehicle: 1999 Toyota Camry 4 cyl

Capacity for a drain and fill is 2.5 and you put in 3 quarts.as long as you put in the correct fluid which is dextron III or Dextron II, If you as ten people you going to get 8 different answers, In my opinion .5 is not going to effect the performance of the transmission. If you are 1 quart then yes you will have shift problems, I seen vehicles with .5 transmision overfilled and there is no transmission effect, By the way they all have leaks on the tranmsiion pan ,lines anyway.so better for them
