will fixing the 1406 error (defferential pressure feedback sensor downstream hose) also fix a speedometer that is not working?

No it will not, P1406 is for the EGR. What effects the speedometer is the speed sensor that is located on the top rear differential,This sensor also double up as ABS sensor
