2001 safari van I changed spark plugs and the service engine light comes on this is normal?

I changed the plugs on my 2001 gmc safari and after that the service light comes on I installed back the old ones and still the same, there is this normal?

Hi there,

This is not normal. The light only comes on when it detects a problem. If the light came on after doing the work, check and make sure your firing order is correct. It is possible it's off and this will turn the light on
