I have a 2004 Nissan Armada.

I will be driving along and the following lights will come on: SES, VDC, Slip, the 4Lo light will flash and the vehicle will hesitate, we will loose the speedometer for a second. Sometimes it will only be the SES, VDC and Slip. Everytime all that comes up as code is U1000.

I have had it in at least 6 times in the last 6 months. They have checked and rechecked every ground. I am not sure what else they have checked but they are frustrated.

They are suggesting next to replace my BCM (not on warranty so a $900+ bill)

I am having my brakes done next week.

Can you help because this is my wifes car and she is getting frustrated with me because I can't get my Nissan dealer to fix the problem.

Thank you in advance.

IF and only if all the grounds have been checked, loosened, cleaned and re-tied back correctly, adding a grounding kit will help the u1000 code. I dont think its a bad BCM. a good grounding kit should fix this problem we have worked on my many Infiniti's and Nissan's with the same problem and this has fixed it
