P0448 NISSAN -

Question

I drive a 2008 Pathfinder V8 4WD.  How concerned should I be with the SES light coming on for the 3rd time with the same code P0448?  All within a year.  The last 2 times have been within a day of having the EVAP Canister Vent Control Valve replaced.  After the first replacement, I'm told it's do to the enviroment I live in.  Is this a Nissan issue or a service tech issue?  I'm an hour and a half away from the nearest dealer...this 3rd time is trying my patience.  With the cost of fuel and the 3 hour round trip I'm not sure where to go with this besides buying a different maker.  BTW, this is my 8th Nissan, and my 3rd Pathfinder.  Any information you can give would be appreciated.

Hi there,

Personally I don't think you need to be overly concerned with this code, as long as the truck is in a state that doesn't require emissions testing and you can fill the truck with fuel. It seems most likely a wiring issue however if you are continuing to get this code even though you have installed new vent control valves. This might be an issue wit the pressure sensor not reading properly as well.
