I was told that if the Intake cam position actuator was bad it could cause a tick in the moter it told me to disconnect them one at a time to see if the ticking goes away it didnt so i plugged them back in and after i drove it approx 10 miles the check engine light came on I put my meter on it and it came up with a generic code P0020 Intake Camshaft Position Actuator Circuit Open (Bank 2) any help would be greatly appreciated Thankyou Jim

The most popular failure regarding cam position actuator is that it plug upthere is a oil screen that plugs up. the actuator are used for valve overlap. The code P0020 is for actuator being open, being open at idle would cause a rough idle, inspect the wire to this actuator make sure it is truly connected, a replacement may be the solution
