P0706 AUDI - where is the switch for park located at. is it with the shifter on the selector or on the transmission.

I believe the switch for park and gear selection is malfunctioning. I had a code p0706 which I cleared with the scan tool. the dash will now highlight park,neutral but will not show drive ,4,3 only 2nd . after I shift the car back to park the vehicle will reset the code. this happens with or with out the car running. looks to be down in the shift atria inside the car. is this the correct location

P0706 this is for the PRNDL. where is where it is it is on the transmission,left side,behind the tranmission mount
