U1000 INFINITI -

check engine light on 2004 infiniti QX56 and getting u1000 error. dealership cant find problem anywhere. Now trying to say connected to intellicruise control not working and that everything is related but I dont think it is. They only said this after having vehicle for a week without being able to find problem. 2200 to fix cruise control that I dont even use, all I want is check engine light error corrected. Can be these be related, hard to believe if they are since light just came on and I have been driving truck for 6 months without cruise control and had no problems until a week ago with engine light coming on with u1000 error. what do you think? Is there fix to this problem that is much more cheaper. I just want to drive vehicle and engine light error fixed, I dont need to use the cruise control. I dont trust the dealership that they are telling me right.

U1000 is a bad ground problem, you can clean the factory grounds with sand paper and tighen them back up. and you can add a grounding kit to help the factory grounds
