While driving home from work all my dash lights flashed on then off. The check engine light came on and stays on when running. The car had the same lights flash on 4 mos. ago but no check engine light. The chain store scanner says P0600 and P1698. They would not turn the light off because the boss was there today.I think its an intermittant connection fault possibly ignition switch or harness connector. Possible??

Both code are related to the Engine control Module (ECM). You should start by clearing the codes. You could do that by disconnecting the car battery for about 30 minutes. If the light comes back, then you may have to replaced the ECM.

I have cleared the codes and engine light by battery disconnect. I wiggled or tried to wiggle the connectors at the TCM and ECM. Drove it for 17 miles hopefully enough to reprogram  the modules. So far no check engine light. Wish me luck.
