2003 Hyundai Elantra, the code P0113 comes and goes. Appears the IAT is in the MAF, can I just replace the IAT?

You cannot replace just the IAT, the entire maf must be replaced.

P0113

Description

indicates the sensor signal is greater than the self-test maximum
the IAT sensor maximum is 4.6 volts or 50c / 50f

Possible causes

open circuit in the harness
sensor signal short to voltage/ power
damaged sensor
incorrect harness connection
damaged PCM/ECM

Diagnostic aids

an IAT PID reading greater than 4.6 volts with the ignition ON engine OFF or during engine operating mode indicates concern is present

Dignostic aids 2

using signal simulation, disconnect sensor and simulate 1v on sensor signal circuit. Simulated 1v signal and scan PID voltages should be similar. If voltage is similar check sensor, If voltage is not similar checkrelated circuit and PCM/ECM
