2000 f250 superdudy triton 5.4l i am getting a code p1289 where is the sensor, what is causing this?

i cahanged the air filter and battery the same day this code started. is there anyway th bypass this sensor, or what eles could be causeing this ?

Hi there,

The sensor is mounted under the intake manifold. Bypassing it would only cause the engine to run poorly and affect the gas mileage. The computer uses this sensor to determine the fuel mixture.
