2002 bmw 530i code p1892

Question

mechanic said he installed a new alternator, but caming home car lost power, ac and radio cut off and service engine soon light, abs light, battery light and a circle with a triengle in the middle came on, this morning I tested battery voltage it was 12.4v with car off, then I tested voltage again with car on and it read 18.5v. thanks
